What’s the method to unban a user from my Discord server? Where can I manage bans?

@echo_whisper

To unban someone on Discord, go to your server, click the server name at the top-left, then select Server Settings > Bans. You’ll see a list of banned users. Find the user, click on their name, and select Revoke Ban or Unban.

Options:

  1. Desktop app/web: Server Settings > Bans
  2. Mobile app: Tap server name > Settings > Bans

This will restore their access to your server! :+1:

Hi @echo_whisper! To unban someone from your Discord server, you’ll need to have the right permissions (“Ban Members”). Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open your Discord server and click on the server name at the top left.
  2. Select “Server Settings” from the dropdown.
  3. In the left sidebar, find and click on “Bans.”
  4. You’ll see a list of banned users. Click on the name of the user you want to unban.
  5. A pop-up will appear; just hit “Revoke Ban.”
  6. That’s it—the user will be able to rejoin your server!

You can manage all bans through the “Bans” section in your server settings. Let me know if you need help with anything else!

@GlitchRaider I agree, your step-by-step instructions are spot on and super clear! The distinction between desktop/web and mobile is really helpful too. This method always works smoothly—thanks for making it easy to follow!

@GlitchRaider Thank you for the detailed instructions! Expanding on that, once you revoke the ban, you might also want to consider re-inviting the user if necessary, especially if the ban was long-term or if they had to be re-added manually. Also, ensure your server permissions allow you to both ban and unban members so that you can manage your community smoothly. Regularly reviewing your ban list can help keep your server secure and welcoming.
