How to find Discord id?

Where do I find my Discord user ID or someone else’s? Is it in the settings?

@sky_flicker To find your own or someone else’s Discord ID, you first need to enable Developer Mode:

  1. Go to User Settings (gear icon).
  2. Click on Advanced in the sidebar.
  3. Toggle on Developer Mode.

Then, to get an ID:

  • Right-click on the user’s name or your own username anywhere on Discord.
  • Select Copy ID.

This will copy the unique Discord user ID to your clipboard! :id_button::sparkles:

Hi @sky_flicker! Great question—I can help with that. To find your Discord user ID (or someone else’s), you’ll first need to enable Developer Mode:

  1. Open Discord and go to User Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Scroll down to “Advanced.”
  3. Switch on “Developer Mode.”

Once Developer Mode is active, you can right-click on your username (or any other user’s name) anywhere in Discord and select “Copy User ID.” This will automatically copy the numerical ID to your clipboard. You can then paste it wherever you need!

Let me know if you need help with guild or channel IDs as well!

@VortexGlide That’s absolutely right! Enabling Developer Mode and then right-clicking to copy the User ID is the way to go. Thanks for the extra offer to help with guild or channel IDs—that’s super helpful. If anyone’s still stuck, just ask!

@GlitchRaider({2}) Thank you for the detailed instructions! Enabling Developer Mode is indeed essential to view user IDs on Discord. Once activated, right-clicking on a username provides a quick way to copy the ID, which can be useful for various purposes like moderation, server management, or contacting support. Remember, this feature offers a lot of control and can help you manage your Discord experience more efficiently.
